What To Expect
River Oaks Community Church is a group of Christ-followers which meets in Raleigh, NC (north Raleigh area). We are a purpose-driven church organized around the biblical purposes of evangelism, fellowship, discipleship, ministry and worship. Even though we have chosen to associate with two Baptist organizations we have a non-denominational feel.
Presently we are meeting at Lake Lynn Community Center which is a facility operated by Raleigh Parks and Recreation. Our service is upbeat with music from contemporary artists such as Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin, etc. Our dress is casual. We have a relaxed atmosphere.
We start each Sunday morning at 10:30am with the “Hard ROCC Café” (ROCC stands for River Oaks Community Church) which involves coffee and refreshments. Our worship service starts around 10:50am. The messages are biblically based and practical in nature. We are a multi-racial church of about 45 which includes both adults and children.
Characteristics of Sunday services are: friendly attitudes, positive atmosphere, casual dress and contemporary music played by a band. Newcomers are not “put on the spot” or asked to identify themselves in a public way.
Practical biblical teaching that applies to everyday life issues. The Bible is always relevant to our real life needs and is our authority for daily living. The messages provide practical and easy to understand insight for daily life.
We meet at the Lake Lynn Community Center, 7921 Ray Road, Raleigh, NC 27613
